One of the youngest states of the country it is blessed with
magnificent glaciers , majestic snow-clad mountains, gigantic
peaks, valleys of flowers, deep gorges, alpine meadows, and
luxuriant forests.
Garhwal - Called the Abode of the Gods, this area represents the
essence of Hinduism. Here lies the source of the Ganga, Indias
holiest river and four most sacred shrines for Hindus. Also it
is home to a lot of Himalayan peaks including the Nanda Devi and
the Shivling.
Kumaon - Bordering with Nepal this area has a lot of freshwater
lakes. A lot of picturesque places offering wide views of the
high Himalayas.
